Success!! I need a good quote but I don't feel like searching right now.
And I should be listening to music, so I think I'll have to find something. I'm listening to Law and Order. So...I did email Alan today, and I got a reply back while I was out... (you've gotta leave the house, that's how it works). He said he'd be happy to meet me for breakfast next week and "thanks for inviting me" And he said that "contact Phyllis" was on his list right ahead of call Morris in the hospital and get health insurance. LOL So he sent me the list of things he's been doing which have kept him so busy. Which is funny, because tonight, in Target, I stood and read through most of "He's just not that into you".. and acc. to the author, a former consultant to Sex and the City -- "busy = asshole", and "asshole = guy you're dating...." especially if the guy is too busy to put down whatever and call you... But I don't agree with the book exactly - which says that you never ever call the guy - if he likes you, he'll figure out a way to find you. (then I'd have never had a boyfriend then, apparently).Guys lie and make excuses when they are "not into you"....Well, I need to 'feed my own needs" I guess you could say. It's not like I don't have enough going on to keep me busy. And as I've been joking, maybe he will look like Shrek to me when I see him again - who knows? but I found him interesting, smart and funny, despite whatever wierdness he has going on (think Jonas)
Not that I'm so great, but I think he could do worse. I think my email was perfectly worded - except I thought I might have been a little too harsh (ok, I told him "this is your last chance, coder boy" - that was not nice... Once he went thru his litany of chores I felt bad.. (but he irons... I don't even iron)... Well, I sent him my to-do list and upcoming schedule... not that it's a contest, but he'll be reeling after he reads mine...
5/17 ----- 5 AM - well if he does look like Shrek, too late. We are meeting for breakfast next week, and we have exchanged a couple emails... He finally read my ramblings from the day we got home and said he was sorry he hadn't read it sooner... nah nah... oy.
