A rude awakening.

$209. that is how much I'm going to be getting weekly on my new unemployment game. To catch everyone up (not that anyone reads this, exactly), I was collecting on my old Siemens claim, even though I'd been laid off from LogMeIn. I was collecting $431, and then with a $25 raise was collecting $456. Oh what bliss!!! That covered my mortgage, condo fee and bills. Well, I had to refile and open a new claim when that one expired, and now I will be getting the paltry sum of $209 a week. That will cover basically all my bills except the mortgage - it will cover the following: Electric (@$100), Cell Phone (40), Cable,phone,web ($147), Cobra ($184 for now). leaving me a wjhopping $8 to put towards my mortgage. So, my mortgage of $1189, plus gas for my car, food and tolls, and anything else I spend money on, will all be coming from my savings.

Today at Whole Foods I bought pansies for my patio ($6.00) and a small gelato. I had chosen a few small items at Marshalls but I put them back. I did get a $100 check from Amazon - from my points, so that's cash back, which is nice. But it's hard to think of spending that on anything special - it all goes into the same pot.
