So, I finally called Dr. Rachlin's office, and his nurse/assistant (I don't know what to call her) Liz - gave me a date and gave me all the pre-op instructions. So I've finally done it! I am a bit scared, more about the post-op and recovery. How much pain will I be in? What will it be like staying overnight (I haven't been in a hospital overnight since I had my tonsils out!). What about rehab - walking, PT etc. I have a post-op appt the next week and I think I'll have to have someone drive me.. Oh, and my surgery is scheduled for 7:30 AM so I have to be there at about 6 AM. Yuck. At least I'll still be half asleep. I don't have to fix myself up - just wear sweats and tshirt I think will be fine. Who cares how you look when you are going to be operated on?
Funny thing is that Audrey Venooker is having the same surgery this coming week, so it will be interesting to hear how she is doing.
Right now I'm just thinking about getting more done in the house so I won't feel guilty not doing anything while I'm recuperating. No bending, lifting, twisting etc. That may be a challenge.
