I'm trying to figure out how to get cheaper phone service through Verizon. I am on the 2nd cheapest plan, called unlimited local - it SOUNDS cheap enough at $19.64, but it is amazing how the little fees add up.
First, there is a $6.00 maintenance fee (repair insurance, basically)
Then, $9.61 in taxes and FEES,
Voice Mail, which has crept up to $8.95 from I think $5.95 when I got it.
When I call Eden or Nat, I get charged, and this month total local and regional calls were $5.30. I never call out of state. So I could have saved $5.00 using my cell. Or I could save the entire bill of $49.50 if I get rid of it altogether!
Alan uses Comcast - I might consider that. Also considering dropping HBO, and thought about reducing my Globe subscription - to save only about $2 a week, hardly seems worth it.
I've lost virtually all my stock gains from the last few months -
RIM was 145 last week, now it's 119, and Apple is off from it's high of $200... GRRRRRR
