2007 Resolutions!!!

OK - it's December -- you know what that means???? That's right - it's time for Phyllis's FIRST ANNUAL 2007 New Year's Resolution List!

So without further adieu, - uh, ado, in no particular order, my list...brainstormed while walking back from picking up lunch and browsing for last minute gifts (ah yes, two resolutions will result from those actions as well).OK, here we go...
*Clean my condo from top to bottom.
Pull all unwanted, unworn, unloved clothes out of the closets and give them away. Bring unworn coats (you know which ones they are!!) to a coat drive.
Vacuum carpets.
Buy bookshelves and clean up the spare room.
Do something with dad's old records and old papers.
Pack up the papers I need to save and shred everything else.
Wash hall floor.
Clean out refrigerator (buy new refrigerator).
Organize office.
Bring old magazines to the library. Do not cry. You will never read them again.
* Be more charitable. Give money to worthy causes.. Try to decide which worthy causes are worthier worthy causes. Children with AIDS? Children with Cancer? Homeless Shelters? Elderly people who cannot afford their medications? Schools that cannot afford books and supplies? Easter Seals? Jimmy Fund? American Heart Association? Cultural organizations whose funding has been cut? Usually I just end up paralyzed and do nothing - unless a friend happens to be walking a 10K or something. Oops, that reminds me...

* EXCERCISE!!! and go back to Weight Watchers. Immediately. January 2, if not sooner. I am now paying to not go to two gyms. * Pick up my guitar and play.
*Spend less time on the computer. OK that probably won't happen, but we'll give it a shot.
* Be a better person. I think I'm pretty good - I don't gossip or speak ill of people, and I'm nice to Alan and to the people at work. Something happened when I left Eric - I no longer had to be bitchy or sarcastic. I'm a kinder, gentler Phyllis now. Usually.

*Spend less money. I am notoriously bad at budgeting, and a little spoiled since I have enough money to live comfortably. So when I'm shopping at my favorite stores, say Big Lots, or Building 19 .

I buy a lot of stuff I don't need - I can drop $50 at Target without blinking an eye. And lord knows, I have enough towels for the entire Osmond family. So I need to cut back. Stop buying books and magazines. And hand creams. And towels.

*STOP EATING!!! It is not necessary to eat every sugar-glazed, chocolate infused item that finds it's way into my field of vision.

Ok, I'm not sure I am capable of any more than this. probably not even this much.

Happy New Year
