A Nice Day Off

Had weight watchers at 9:30 - I'm down a nano-pound (like 1/4) but I've been down every week - I've only missed one since I joined on 3/4. People are starting to notice, which is nice, and I don't feel like a huge cow anymore, just a small one. moo. For the record, I'm down 14.2 pounds, according to WW scale. My mileage may vary.

After that, went to the gym, came home and cleaned up and went clothes shopping. I found 3 shirts and a pair of pants at Macy's. It's not easy yet but it's getting easier.

Tonight we went with another couple to a special temple service in Andover. There was a band during the service playing music from the middle east - which I love. I recognized the flute player as one of the musicians who played with his reunited band Bustan Abraham in our Middle East Harmonies concert at Sanders Theater last month. We had middle eastern food and I tried to just have a little of everything, and I had just a small amount of dessert afterwards. It was a nice evening out

I traded hours so I don't have to work on Monday, which is nice, but the ceiling repair guy might come on Monday...so I'll stay in the house and continue cleaning and doing my homework. It's about time I get some things done around here. Next after this is getting a new toilet installed.

I just finished cleaning my kitchen counters and reorganizing the area around my piano and dining table. There are books and music everywhere. I have a lot of music books on a small bookcase but it's hard to keep them from falling over. My new bookends aren't strong enough, and I have 3 ring binders everywhere, and my piano is covered with photos (and dust). It's maddening. I keep all my Hebrew books on the table since I am always doing homework and there's no place else to keep them. Unlike Alan, I cannot stand having piles of paper everywhere. I try to keep my table neat.

While I do all this, Alan is happy to sit on the sofa and read and watch Sox while I putter.
