Saw Dr. Rachlin today for my first follow up visit. He took off my bandages and said it looked great, and tested my reflexes and I asked about my totally numb foot - pins and needles screaming. He said it was normal and will go away in time. He told me to be sure to walk, to take an anti inflammatory drug like ibuprofen and to start physical therapy. I am going back to McGovern tomorrow - I am not sure what PT will be like, but I'll do my exercises faithfully if it will make this damn foot problem go away. It is SO uncomfortable I can hardly bear it. my foot feels like it is trapped in something. It kind of feels as if my skin is too tight... I still get pain on the top of my foot but this is worse.
On the upside, I got my hair cut and colored today, so I feel pretty.
