My First Blog Post

So, this is my first blog post. You are probably wondering, who am I? And why do I have a blog? Well, it's not that I have anything exciting to say, I'm just a girl. Well, ok, technically, I'm not really a girl, having hit my 40's some time ago, with no recollection of how I got here. I'm female and just slightly behind the curve, so I thought it would be fun to learn how to do a blog.

I work as a tech support specialist, fielding phone calls from the company's employees who might be having a problem logging into their email, or the network, or their PC or whatever. So I'm into computers and kind of a geek, but I'm not as techie as some of my coworkers. I just like helping people solve their computer issues. I enjoy helping people who have a low comfort level with their computers. Like my sister for example, who doesn't really know more than what she needs to know to get her work done. I'm going to help her set up her DSL next week. They actually sent her a "do it yourself" kit.. Well, I'm happy to do it. I'm no rocket scientist but I can probably figure it out.

I used to read a great blog by a tech support guy who I think got a new job and no longer does it. It was kind of interesting. I'm going to see if I can do this blog as part tech blog too. I'll try to describe my day.
